Ajman National Museum

Housed in an 18th-century fort that served as the Ruler’s palace until 1970, this museum is the cornerstone of Ajman’s history. Its displays are a beautiful journey through time, featuring archaeological finds from 3000 BC, traditional pearling equipment, and lifelike reconstructions of ancient souks and homes.

Best For: History enthusiasts (Foreign) and school groups (Domestic).

Opening Hours: Sat–Thu: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM; Friday: 2:30 PM – 8:00 PM.

Restrictions: * Modest dress is required inside the fort.

No flash photography in certain artifact galleries to preserve delicate manuscripts.

Activities: * Fort Exploration: Walk through the massive gateway and climb the traditional watchtowers.

The Heritage Tour: See the “Barjeel” (wind towers) and learn how early Emiratis stayed cool in the heat.

Archaeological Gallery: View pottery and jewelry from the Al Muwaihat excavation site.

Yes, it is located in the Al Bustan area, very close to the traditional Gold Souk.
